Hatta Dam in Dubai will host a free weekend of outdoor stand-up paddleboarding and yoga on November 7 and 8, part of the 10th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Activities run both days from 8am to 5.30pm, with dedicated shuttle buses laid on from Dubai World Trade Centre for those who want to join without driving themselves.

Guided paddleboarding sessions run from 9.15am to 5pm, offered in free 45-minute slots open to adults, families and children aged six and above. Alongside the paddling, three yoga sessions are scheduled at 8.45am, 4.15pm and 5pm. Kayaking is also available on a first-come, first-served basis, though capacity there is limited compared with the paddleboard sessions.

The event is organised by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and Dubai Sports Council, presented by the Roads and Transport Authority, as part of a broader push to get residents and visitors moving outdoors and to draw attention to lesser-known natural spots in the UAE such as Hatta Dam, roughly 100km from the city centre.

Organisers advise arriving 30 minutes before a session to register. With every activity free and designed to welcome all fitness levels, the weekend offers a straightforward option for families looking for a day away from the city that doesn't require booking or paying in advance.
